Salmons

€ 5.750 ( inc. ^% VAT, exc. transport etc.) Marcus Ravenswaaij, bronze, design for larger sculpture, series/3 60 x 60 cm Salmons swim across the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea to reach the fresh water of the Great Rivers of the Netherlands where they spawn. There used to be plenty of salmon in the river. Back then, salmon fishing was in its heyday. These days we generally eat farmed salmon. Marcus was commissioned to create a sculpture of salmons. The large bronze artwork ( salmons of between 80 and 100 cm) was positioned on a groyne on the banks of the Merwede. The design was cast in bronze and is available for sale. In terms of its size, this artwork could be placed in a garden, but would be equally at home indoors.
