€1.850 (inc. 6% VAT, exc. transport etc.) Marijke A. Deege, ash, unique, height 44 cm Carved from ash: a tough, elastic and strong material. The tree itself was more than a hundred years old when it was felled in the gardens of Merckenburg castle, residence of the Baron of Hekeren. This is not the first time I have carved this sort of wood: I enjoy working with it.
